Meet the teachers behind the mats.
Bringing classes that challenge and a community that welcomes.

Alison Bradley

Studio Owner, HIIT Teacher, Yoga Teacher

Fitness and movement have always been a part of Alison's life, taking her around the world and into various environments and settings. For almost two decades, she learned from many different teachers and taught all styles and levels. That journey eventually brought her to yoga, where she studied under various teachers across multiple countries. She feels lucky to have had so many opportunities to shape her own personal style, and she continues to grow as she learns and experiences more.

Alison holds a BSc in Exercise Science, specialising in Health Fitness, a CSCS certification(Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach through NSCA), and a REPs Group Fitness certification. Her yoga credentials include 200-hour certifications in both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, plus a 300-hour Shamanic Yoga certification. She also holds a SilverSneakers Senior Fitness certificate, qualifications in Sports Psychology & Coaching, a Graduate Diploma in Teaching Health and Physical Education, a Level 2 Lacrosse Coach and Referee certificate, and a current First Aid certificate.

Alison loves the joy and community that movement and yoga bring. Her goal is to ignite passion for movement through challenge, encouragement, and laughter, while teaching with understanding and acceptance, helping people find balance and not take themselves too seriously.

Kat Foundling

Studio Manager, Pilates Instructor

Kat's background is rooted in both science and movement. She holds a Bachelor of Medical and Health Science and a Level 4 Certificate in Exercise and Sport Science, with specialist training through the Tiaki Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute (TPI) in Foundations of Pilates, Anatomy, and Reformer Pilates, as well as group fitness certification with Les Mills Pilates and Shapes. She's also set to pursue Honours in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2027, driven by a deep curiosity about the interconnection of neuromuscular control, breath, and human function.

Her teaching journey began in personal training, where she worked with clients on strength and conditioning. But it was training for a marathon, combined with her academic studies, that opened her eyes to the importance of breath, stabiliser training, and the deeper layers of movement. She migrated to group fitness and never looked back.

Today, Kat's Hot Pilates classes are a fusion of clinical knowledge and group energy: challenging, intentional, and accessible to all levels. The heat intensifies the work; the breath connects it; the movement transforms it.

Maggie Fung

Yoga Teacher

Some people find their path and stay on it. Maggie collects them.
A self-confessed "learnoholic," Maggie has spent the last five years collecting certifications like others collect stamps, Yoga (including Yin, 26&2, Restorative and Nidra), Hot Pilates, Mat Pilates, HIIT Pilates, Aerial, Reformer, Barre, Fascial Movement, and if that wasn’t enough, most recently, NASM Personal Training. She's trained across New Zealand, Spain, and beyond with Stott Pilates, Esak Graica, Yoga Savitri, and Hot HITT Works.

Her teaching is a fusion of everything she's absorbed: the precision of Pilates, the flow of Yoga, the rhythm of Barre, and the science of Fascial Movement. Trained to work with everyone from beginners to special populations and pre/post-natal clients, her classes are intelligent, varied, and designed to keep you curious.

Driven by a relentless curiosity for how the body works, Maggie believes movement should never stop asking questions. Come for the workout. Stay for the learning.

Charlie Baxter

Hot HIIT Teacher, Pilates Teacher

Charlie is a R.E.P. Certified Hot HIIT Pilates teacher, bringing energy, precision, and fun to every session she leads at Yippie. Her journey into fitness began with her own love for movement and the outdoors, which led her to pursue formal training in Hot HIIT Pilates. She believes fitness should be challenging, empowering, and enjoyable, and she brings that philosophy into every class.

When she's not coaching, you'll find Charlie running trails in the mountains, enjoying the sauna, or attempting to swim in a straight line in open water. These outdoor pursuits keep her grounded, strong, and always ready to bring fresh energy to her teaching.

Charlie genuinely enjoys helping people challenge themselves and experience the incredible benefits that come from working hard together. She creates a supportive, high-energy environment where everyone feels encouraged to push their limits, sweat it out, and leave feeling stronger than when they arrived. For Charlie, it's about the community, the shared effort, and the buzz of accomplishment that comes from giving it your all alongside others.

Renee Crocker

Yoga Teacher

Renée Crocker has successfully completed the Evolation Yoga 250-hour Primary Teacher Training . Her journey began unexpectedly in her early 20's, when she was dragged to her first Bikram class in Wellington. She kept coming back, and that marked the beginning of her journey back to health and mind/body connection. Over the 20 years since, her connection to the sequence has remained strong, despite periods of both obsessive and zero practice.

Six years ago, she left her role as a Primary School teacher and took her 3-year-old son to Bali for a 6-week training with Evolation Yoga. The first day she cried on the beach, overwhelmed by the intensity of study, practice, and motherhood, but by the end, she emerged certified and convinced it was one of the best decisions she'd ever made. The training reignited and refined her home practice, and now with two years of teaching experience, Renée brings a unique understanding to beginners, she remembers what it feels like to start from a place of struggle and uncertainty. Her joy in teaching  comes from seeing her students, watching their postures  and confidence improve with each practice.Renée loves the repetition and focus on alignment, the meditative aspect of the bright lights and heat, and the self-awareness (and confrontation) that the full-length mirrors bring. She simply loves Bikram Yoga, and that passion shines through in everything she does.

Olivia Leckie

Yoga Teacher

Olivia took her first hot yoga class in 2011. Earlier that same year, she had been training in Kung Fu in China in the middle of winter, freezing cold, and had been dreaming about hot yoga. Her first class did not disappoint, and like many other practitioners, she knew instantly that hot yoga was something she needed.

"Yoga has helped to keep me fit and healthy over the years," she reflects, "but even more importantly, it has calmed my mind, and that calmness is starting to spread to other aspects of my life. This peace of mind is what I wish for all practitioners, on and off the mat."

Olivia feels very fortunate to be a part of such a strong community. She believes that while yoga is a personal practice, it also creates unity between different people, and she considers herself lucky to be surrounded by such a diverse and caring group of people in her community.

Ninoska Jaramillo

Yoga Teacher

Nino has always had a passion for the body and movement, being involved in various forms of gymnastics and dancing, and constantly seeking out new ways to move and feel better.

When she was 19 years old, she attended her first yoga session in Chile, her home country. Ten years later, in 2012, while living in Mexico, she got the chance to become a yoga teacher, which completely changed her life.

In the first class that she guided, she said to herself, "this is what I want to do for the rest of my life." Teaching yoga, she found the opportunity to help others to feel better in their own bodies, relieving chronic pain and feeling calmer and happier.

When you practise yoga, you start feeling better in your body overall. Discomforts disappear or are reduced, your energy is elevated, your mood changes, your mind gets clearer, and you transmit this peace and happiness to others.

She is keen to continue learning more about yoga, anatomy, the mind and meditation, as well as anything else relevant to health

Yvonne Faulkner

Hot HIIT Teacher
Yvonne started her career as an apprentice jockey, however an unfortunate riding accident meant leaving that behind for a new path. That path led to her current role as a Production Manager within the manufacturing industry… a career she describes as ‘stress city!’

To manage the stress Yvonne took up walking, eventually competing in a number of half, full and ultra- marathons. In March 2023 she completed her 10th Oxfam 100km trail-walker. With all the walking and tramping she felt the need to start stretching and strengthening her muscles. Add to this the hormonal changes that come at a certain time in one’s life (joy joy!) Yvonne had an even greater need to relax her mind.

Seven years ago she walked into her first Bikram class and was hooked, she hasn’t looked back!

Two years ago she was introduced to ‘Hot Hiit Pilates’ by Meghann and Olivia. This led to Yvonne completing her ‘Hot Hiit Pilates’ teacher training in March 2023.

Despite the training pushing her right out of her comfort zone, Yvonne is loving teaching. She has a particular interest in Pilates as medicine for the mature practitioner and for its ability to help with hormonal challenges.

Tiff Rooney

Yoga Teacher

Tiff first stepped into a Bikram Yoga studio in Melbourne back in 2012, and from that very first class, she was instantly hooked. What began as a new experience quickly became a deep and abiding passion, and yoga has continued to be an important and grounding part of her life ever since.

Over the years, Tiff has embraced the discipline, the heat, and the transformative power of the 26&2 sequence. She loves the way the practice challenges her both physically and mentally, and how it provides a constant source of clarity and calm in an otherwise busy world.

After many years of dedicated practice and a growing love for the Bikram method, Tiff made the decision to take the next step and complete her HIYOGA 200-hour Bikram Yoga with the International Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program in 2024. It was an exciting opportunity to deepen her own practice, challenge herself in new ways, and learn the art of guiding others through the very practice that has given her so much.

Now, Tiff is thrilled to be sharing her knowledge and passion with students, creating a welcoming and supportive space for others to discover their own love for hot yoga. She believes in the power of showing up, trusting the process, and meeting yourself exactly where you are.

Michelle Sankey

Yoga Teacher

Michelle's journey into yoga began with a love for movement, she was a former athlete with a black belt in Kung Fu, gymnastics, and Ashtanga Yoga. But in 2017, everything changed. After an emergency C-section and a spine injury that left her leg paralysed, she found herself using a Zimmer frame just to move. It took a year to walk again, but chronic pain remained a constant companion.

A friend suggested hot yoga. Class by class, posture by posture, she began to rebuild herself, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.Despite three damaged discs, she is fitter in her 40s than she ever was in her 20s. For her, Bikram Yoga didn't just change her life, it gave it back.

She completed her 350-hour Bikram Hot Yoga Teacher Training in 2023, and holds additional Yoga Alliance certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Pranayama (Breathwork). She is also a Certified Cacao Ceremony Facilitator, holds a Herbal Medicine Certification, and brings over seven years of teaching experience from her First Dan Black Belt in Kung Fu. She now teaches with a deep and unwavering belief that Bikram Yoga is for every body, regardless of age, ability, or experience. Her classes are welcoming, compassionate, and rooted in the understanding that everyone's journey looks different. She meets each student where they are, and gently guides them to discover just how strong and capable they truly are.

Terri Carlson

Yoga, Pilates Instructor

Terri is a passionate yoga teacher hailing from a small town in the USA. She first discovered yoga in 2016 while navigating the demands of university life and the physical toll of playing college soccer. What began as a tool for managing stress and burnout soon became a profound journey inward. With every practice and meditation, Terri gained deeper clarity about her life’s direction—realizing that the traditional college path wasn’t aligned with her true calling.
In 2019, she took a courageous leap, leaving college to pursue her first Yoga Teacher Training. That experience was nothing short of transformative, it awakened her soul and revealed her life’s mission: to help others feel good from the inside out, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Since then, Terri has expanded her offerings to include Spiritual Life Coaching, sharing her gifts with communities across the U.S., Costa Rica, and now, New Zealand.
She is the founder of That Spiritual Cowgirl, a brand born from the realization that we are never just one thing. Raised on a farm and walking a spiritual path, Terri embodies the idea that we can be both rooted and free, wild and grounded. Her work celebrates the richness of our human experience, the complexity, the contrasts, the layers that make us whole. You don’t have to fit into any box. You’re allowed to be all of you.

Lee Davis

Yoga Teacher

Lee is a qualified Hot Bikram Yoga teacher, certified to teach 90, 60, and 45-minute classes. Her journey with yoga began in 2008, when she stepped onto the mat for the very first time with no prior experience, and quickly fell in love with the practice. Over the years, yoga has shaped her into the person she is today, transforming her attitude, her approach to life, and her overall mental wellbeing. She loves the person she has become through the practice.

In 2021, after 12 years of dedicated practice, Lee had the opportunity to attend an OHY Teacher Training, where she deepened her understanding of the benefits of yoga and discovered a new passion for sharing her knowledge with others. She loves teaching and finds immense joy in guiding students through their own journeys, sharing the learning and insights she's gathered over more than a decade on the mat.

For Lee, yoga is more than just a workout — it's a lifelong practice that continues to give, and she's grateful to be able to pass that on to our community.

Meghann Rowling

Yoga Teacher
In 2007, Meghann went to her first Bikram class in London and from that moment she was hooked. She absolutely loves the heat, the familiarity of the sequence, and the ability to use her breath to control her mind. She has always found comfort in the 26&2 hot yoga class, no matter how bad her day has been, she always leaves feeling better. For her, it's a healing 90 minutes; a period of open-eyed meditation where you have no option other than to focus on the yoga and your breath. It gives the mind some peace while strengthening and toning the body. She simply loves it.

Meghann holds a 375-hour Yoga Alliance approved training in the 26&2 sequence, and brings her deep passion for the practice into every class she teaches. Her love for the heat, the discipline, and the transformative power of the sequence shines through, inspiring her students to find their own peace, strength, and healing on the mat.

Kere Heperi

Yoga Teacher
Kere walked into her first Bikram class in 2011 thinking it was going to be easy compared to the Muay Thai training she loved so much, but reality had other plans! She struggled with the heat, found it difficult to regulate her breath, and collapsed out of the poses. She came away from that experience humbled, but feeling lighter, happier, and with a burning desire to explore more. Since then, she hasn't looked back. The practice has always been her place to calm and heal her mind, body, and spirit.

She's gone through many phases in life and in her own practice, but what she loves most about the Bikram method is that no matter where you take a class or where your body is at, the sequence of postures remains the same, a constant in an ever-changing world. She trained to teach in 2021 with OHY Teacher Training in Queenstown under Donna Wikio, and her teaching journey began. It's important to her that people trust in the process and optimise their experience in the room, because naturally, that's where the benefits and healing happen.

Jet

Owner, Studio Dog
Introducing the second and most important owner… Jet! Hi! I’m Jet - Ace/Alison is my human and I originally began life on a farm in the South Island where I was attempting to be a pig hunting dog - that life wasn’t for me and so Ace found me and took me in. From there we discovered New Zealand together, we went to all the exciting places around the South Island, I loved going on roadtrips and hikes with my human. Eventually we made our way to the North Island where I got to experience city life in Auckland and Wellington. These places were a bit too loud and scary for me, I prefer being in nature, exploring the forests and running along the beach. When my human went away overseas on her travels I missed her and wished that we were back exploring together - so when she decided that we would settle in Napier I was very excited. I have lots of dog friends in Napier and I enjoy the slower pace of life. Becoming a yoga studio dog has definitely been my calling, I feel very comfortable there and I enjoy meeting all the wonderful humans that come into the studio. I like being in yin classes and cacao circles to snuggle up with you all, I get overwhelmed easily so I can understand when big feelings come along. It’s nice to share comfort together! Next time you’re in the studio I love a gentle little pat and cuddle, if I bark then I am just a little nervous so please don’t judge me for that, I really do love humans and just want to connect with you all! Ka kite ano friends!
