Our Policies

We understand that life doesn't always go to plan! Our concession packages offer great value, and in return, we ask for a commitment to using them within their expiry period. While we don't offer refunds we do offer transfers and always do our best to be fair and reasonable.
We get that unexpected things happen, illness, injury, life getting in the way. If something comes up and you need a hand with an extension, please reach out to us as soon as you can. While we can't guarantee extensions, we'll always listen and do our best to work with you. We also offer a "renewal" option: when you purchase a new concession card of the same type within 2 months of expiry, we'll reactivate any unused classes from your expired card. Just let us know and we'll sort it out.

If you're coming to class twice a week or more, our direct debit programme is the most cost-effective way to keep moving, and we all know consistency is key, whether it's yoga, Pilates, or HIIT! You can sign up in-studio or on Mindbody anytime.
In return for the lower rate, we have a 3-month minimum commitment. We know life can throw curveballs, so after that period, you're free to cancel with two weeks' written notice via email at info@yippieyopi.co.nz. We don't offer pauses or refunds during the minimum term, but if something unexpected comes up, please reach out, we're always happy to have a chat and figure something out.
-
We take cleanliness seriously and our studio is cleaned daily, but we need your help too! Please look after yourself and others by bringing a clean, dry mat, practising good hygiene, and washing your yoga clothes and towel after every class. A clean space means a happy practice for everyone

We totally understand that life happens and sometimes you might need to leave early, whether it's to make it to work on time or because you're just not feeling great. If you know you need to slip out before the end, please just let your teacher know before class starts. We ask that you hang near the door so you can exit quietly without disturbing others.
If you're feeling unwell during class, please listen to your body, your wellbeing comes first. However, we strongly recommend sitting down on your mat first and taking a moment to rest before deciding to leave. Stepping out of the heated room into the cooler air and then returning can be jarring for your body and may not be the safest choice. If you do need to step out, please take care and give yourself time to adjust before re-entering. If you are stepping out due to the heat or feeling dizziness please stay near the door so the teacher can check on you, or if you’re ok to manage yourself (maybe bathroom emergency) please give the teacher a wave to let them know you’re all good.

For the safety of all participants, the following age requirements apply at Yippie Yopi:
Under 12 years: Children under 12 are not permitted to participate in heated classes.
12–14 years: Participants aged 12–14 may attend heated classes with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Under 16 years: All participants under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult who remains at the studio for the duration of the class.
Parental Responsibility
The parent or accompanying adult is solely responsible for the care, supervision and safety of their child while they are at the studio, including during the class. This responsibility remains with the parent or accompanying adult and does not transfer to the teacher, Yippie Yopi or studio staff.
Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether a class is appropriate for their child and should ensure their child is appropriately hydrated and able to safely participate.
The accompanying adult must supervise their child throughout the class and ensure they follow the teacher's instructions and studio rules. If a child feels unwell, dizzy, faint or uncomfortable, the parent or accompanying adult is responsible for taking appropriate action and notifying the teacher.
Teachers and studio staff may ask a participant to stop exercising or leave a class if they have concerns about their safety or behaviour, but the teacher is not responsible for supervising or providing childcare for children or teenagers.
By allowing a child or teenager to participate, the parent or guardian acknowledges the risks associated with physical exercise and heated environments and accepts responsibility for their child's participation and safety.
Yippie Yopi reserves the right to refuse participation where we consider a class or activity unsuitable or unsafe for a participant.

We know how easy it is to get swept up in warmth and bliss and leave something behind, our lost property basket is proof of that! To reduce the chances of losing your gear, please bring your belongings in a bag. For hygiene reasons, we dispose of any underwear left behind immediately. Other items are kept for a reasonable time before being donated to charity. The sooner you pop in to check, the better chance we have of reuniting you with your things!

Our 5, 10, 20 and 40 Class Passes allow you to purchase a set number of classes at a discounted rate. The larger the pass, the longer the period available to use it.
Class Pass Terms
Class Passes are for pre-purchased classes at Yippie Yopi, not monetary-value gift cards or gift vouchers.
Each pass has a specific validity period, which is displayed at the time of purchase. Validity periods range from 3 months to 12 months, depending on the pass purchased.
The pass expires on the stated expiry date, regardless of how many classes remain unused.
No refunds are available for unused classes or expired passes.
Class Passes may be transferred to another member or shared between selected members. Please contact us if you would like to arrange this.
Classes must be booked through our normal booking system and are subject to our usual cancellation and no-show policy.
A Class Pass does not guarantee availability in any particular class.
Class Passes cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
Class Passes vs Gift Cards
Class Passes are specifically sold as bundles of pre-paid classes at a discounted rate. They are not sold as a monetary-value gift card or gift voucher.
The expiry period for each Class Pass is therefore based on the particular class bundle purchased and is communicated at the time of purchase.
By purchasing a Class Pass, you acknowledge and agree to these terms
